Persuasive writing

My experience with persuasive writing is that it is essential when a writer is trying to convince the reader of a particular article of the writer’s opinions. It is a very effective tool that tries to persuade the reader of the article to accept the ideas and ideologies written. I have learned that persuasive writing will help me in the future to communicate better my thoughts and perception of specific concepts in my career to ensure that my thoughts will convince the reader of my articles. By using persuasive communication, I know that I will eventually be able to achieve my goals and attain them through the passing of crucial information that I would like the readers to
understand.
I had encountered a persuasive speech before in a conference hall where the speaker was persuading the audience that the leading causes of drug abuse by the youth are idleness and lack of empowerment. Through persuasive speech, the speaker advocated that those were the significant causes of drug abuse. The target audience in this speech was parents, teachers, and high school students.
The speech took place in a school environment, as the primary aim of the lesson was to try to convince high school students to avoid indulging in practices that can lead them to drug use. The speaker, a counseling psychologist, drafted a speech to help the parents and the teachers control the behavior that students may develop and eventually lead them to drug addiction. If the speaker had done the address in a different setting, it could not have been as persuasive to the audience as the speaker would have liked it to be. This example is very effective in helping one understand the power of persuasive speaking and how it helps to communicate the intended message to the target audience.
