Abstract
Composite Materials are a combination of two or more materials of nearly similar characteristics and properties. Most Composite Materials are naturally occurring; hence they are heterogeneous. The most common Composite Material is aggregate; small stones and soil were previously mixed with cement to form a strong and stiff composite material. Wood such as bamboo and palm were used as composite material. However, the composite materials of interest in this discussion are the humanmade materials displaying high strength and ductability. Composite materials that are resistant to chemical reaction and can withstand high temperatures are such composites structures resulting from a mixture of PETG and Carbon fiber materials. In the current world, the composite materials are in high demand due to their useful nature in numerous applications. A composite made from PETG is relatively useful in a number of fields; It is used in manufacture of water bottles and food containers, doctors use the composite in storage of medicine, it is flexible and can easily be molded to different sizes and designs and it can also be painted to different colors. The clothing industry also uses PETG composite for the manufacturing of clothes. This composite material has a challenge to the environment such that an additional cost of recycling waste materials should be put in place. When plastics are not disposed well, then pollution would be a the next discussion, but PETG composite can be easily recycled hence saves us from the problem of environmental pollution. PETG composite in competitive in high performance structural application.
